Talence > Pür residence

Talence > Pür residence

Pür residence in Talence, includes 124 apartments, from studio apartments to 5-room flats. Their design is inspired by the desire to mix housing units for young couples with those for pensioners or people with reduced mobility, in an attempt to bring different sectors of the population together.
The ‘Moove’ concept implemented by the client, Aqprim, makes it possible to create an additional room or split-level within an apartment without being subject to further taxation. Domestic services are also available, along with a full-time caretaker.
The inhabitants enter the building via a common lobby, positioned where the building embraces the street corner. Directly above this entrance hall, on the top floor, a number of communal spaces have been created, including a rooftop swimming pool and fitness area.
The town of Talence has its eyes firmly set on the future, and, even if the new apartment building lies close to an infant school, tramline and renowned gardens of Parc Peixotto, this residential neighbourhood exudes modernity. The King Kong building rejoices in this spirit and its architectural design is resolutely contemporary, from its white exterior to the specific treatment of its volumes. In accordance with local building regulations, the building stands 5 floors high along Avenue Georges Lasserre, while on Rue Slitinsky it is limited to 4 floors. This constraint inspired the L-shaped ground plan. The different lobbies have been raised 1.5 m above ground level. The main entrance lobby runs through the building from front to back. Two wooden walkways lead to the stairwells, conjuring up the image of a fallen tree trunk within a jungle-like atmosphere, with pieces of wood composing an interior landscape. The ground floor stands 1.5 m back from the street, allowing the building to be comfortably positioned. This section is clad in champagne-coloured pierced metal, offering excellent ventilation and insulation from without. The main 4-floor body of the building has a set back attic level housing the peripheral terraces. The design of the main façade is based on simple effects which create a sense of flowing movement, guaranteeing the building a place of honour within the urban renewal of Talence.
